- His squad rotation policy and benching players when they are on a roll.
- Edin Dzeko was one of the most lethal strikers in the world when he came here, yet he has been pretty mediocre ever since he came here. Is that down the the manager? If so that's one of his blunders for sure, not utilizing Dzeko and finding a way to allow him to do his stuff.
Player doesn't; quite live up to expectations in the Premier League - needs time BUT must be the manager's fault????? Are you serious?
Yes I am.
I think Mancini is a great team manager, but his man-managment skill seems to be.. well not there.
I don't buy into that "oh it takes time to adapt to the premier league" crap as there are just too many examples of foreign players coming in and playing brilliantly right from the beginning. Sure, I'll give them a month or to to settle in but after that they should kno what to do. It's football, not surgery.
He was the big star in Germany (yet seem to be a very humble guy) who carried his team. He comes here only to be played out of his comfort zone, has a hard time kicking it off, and once he does Mancini benches him.
Edin looks miserable on the pitch, no joy, no passion... not being able to handle him is to me a big managerial blunder. I think there is a big gap in communication between management and players, as this is simply the way Mancini does his job, in a seemingly tyrannical manner. The only one he seems to give a lot of attention to is Balotelli.
I don't think many players would raise their voice in anger would he to get the sack. probably just the one, again Balotelli.
And if you say that "well we don't play up to Edin's strengths", well why then was he bought??
He cost us £27 million and has been here for over a year now. I don't blame him for his under performing, I blame the management.
A reminder of what this guy is capable of:
