He's shocking, treats none favourites like they dont exist,he's stubborn as fuck, public displays of player discontent and whinges like a baby when he doesn't get his own way.
Can you list me the City managers whose man management was better than Mancini please.

Howard Kendall. Sven. Tony book. Malcolm Allison.

There are a few for starters.
Can I ask how many trophies the above four managers won? Considering their man management skills were so amazing?

In your own time.

Doesn't matter mate, Mancini had shit loads of money so winning trophies was a foregone conclusion.

Very good answer. There can only be one.

PS. Why has this thread been hijacked again. Let's have a decent discussion chaps.

How can anyone who hasn't been managed by the people mentioned offer any opinion about "man management"?

If you have even the slightest understanding of personality types you would know that people fall into one of several(16) (depends on who's theory you prefer but myers briggs is a good place to start) personality types, each of whom responds differently to different types of management. A manager will appeal to each of those types differently so one person may find them to be an excellent "man manager" whereas the next may think them terrible. In business there is a tendency to opt for situational management where one treats each individually differently depending on their type but in the military this is often considered impractical and the more traditional lead from the front "follow me men" style is more successful.

The only way to judge a football manager is by the teams results and at the moment i think Bob is second in terms of trophies and top 5 in win %.

As for his man management, I have no idea but he has nice hair!

Ha hilarious thread - managed to lure all the usual suspects out past the watershed!

The players all like him - and those that have had problems now respect him. He shows something called strength of character - wrap it up as an HR exercise if it suits your attack on him and start crying about man management - all I know is 3 trophies in 2 years and playing the best football I've ever seen us play. Whats' that?? oh yes Pepy and Josey would have done better - of course they would.
