To those sour and bitter posters on here who still cannot accept that Roberto Mancini has class and grace beyond their capacity to understand, you perhaps need to understand some things about Roberto Mancini. He took his job here very seriously, and as part of that he made it his business to understand the culture of the city (of Manchester), as well as
THE City (us). He knew what football meant to City fans, what years of us not winning anything had done, and what winning something would mean, especially given the trophies won at the swamp. He understood and bought into the loyalty of the supporters, and he wanted trophies for us, as well as for himself - that really meant something to him. This manifested itself in a special relationship with the City fans, as evidenced at just about every match in his time with us, and the fact that the bloke wanted to take the trouble to say goodbye to those fans with whom he enjoyed such a nice relationship is classy, and is not something to snipe at.
Finally, for a poster on here, who is also a moderator I believe, to infer that this advertisement was placed by the club's PR department, the same PR department who have briefed so much against Bobby in the last few weeks, is the sourest and bitterest comment of them all

-- Sat May 18, 2013 12:51 pm --
