I don’t usually moan but personally I fucking hate the way we have played for the last couple of years. Sideways backwards make a mistake and get hit on the break then rinse and repeat etc, it’s fucking awful to watch and even second rate teams now know how to play against it.

I have loved the Pep era but if he won’t change then the club need to.

I would say its something to do with aggression, passion and intent but what would I know.

He often rambles on about Messi. It must make the players feel really good to know that they'll never be as good as Lionel. A bit like Alan Ball regularly reminding his City squad that he had a World Cup Winners medal.

How can we spend so much money and never have orthadox full backs, Mancini square pegs, square holes. Pep has been sensational, but it feels done
 
Only 3 players who have won the league started tonight. All this bollocks about City know how to win things is just that bollocks. We are a shadow of the treble and four in a row and it will take a few years to get anywhere near that level if at all. We certainly won’t do it playing this style now, teams have sussed us and it wouldn’t surprise me if Wolves turn us over.
 
We kept hearing the Bodo philosophy - play well and the results will take care of themselves.

We’ve now produced two garbage performances by our standards and got what we deserved. Get back to basics and stop giving away goals for fun.

Even when we were shit last season for a spell was it as bad as these past two games? Feels like the performance, attitude and game plan is miles off.

Really missing the 3 experienced CBs, Nunes, Nico G but fuck me we played suicidal football devoid of proper effort and passion which is unforgivable.

I’ve said it before but at present I think we can only afford one from the following 3 starting - Foden (so bad recently it’s bewildering), Reijnders (lightweight and doesn’t appear to offer much at present) and Cherki (I’d be starting him central most matches). Add in Rico who is nowhere near the quality we need and we were up against it.

Haaland miles off it again.

Bodo were a more than decent side where every player knows what their role and style is.

Give Rodri the required support to be effective on his transition back to full fitness rather than leave him cast adrift trying to hold the midfield (although no excuses for his sending off which was pathetic and petulant in equal measure).

The same tactics and personnel leading to the same insipid performances, a team meeting or more is required sharpish to get some semblance of a turnaround.

I really think Pep is done, I've always stuck up for him, yes we're playing a very young, very inexperienced and very high defence as tonight was a carbon copy of playing the red mardarses but the team look dead and absolutely clueless.

And don't get me started on Ian Ormondroyd up front, we start with 10 men every match lately.

Absolutely ridiculous from Rodri .... trying to get away with stunts he pulled off years back, but now too slow and sluggish to get away with it ..... not that it mattered, we were never good enough to truly get back into this match.

Season just lurching from bad to worse.

That this team is inconsistent is something we've unfortunately been used to in the last 18 months, thats what happens when you replace elite serial winners with project players or guys who are just happy to get a big deal at a big club.
But inconsistent is one thing, not even being able to react after an extremely poor performance and instead perform extremely poor again, is very worrying for me.
I was expecting our players would come out looking like they have a point to prove after the weekends disaster. Instead they came out looking like they have nothing to prove and are not really that bothered about being embarrassed, again.

When, in a club serious about winning, performing this badly in 2 consecutive games should make every player fear they are not starting for weeks/months or are getting sold since they have just proved they cant be trusted.

I turned it off because I’d had enough. Maybe they were embarrassed. Perhaps a nice gesture would be to pay for tickets back to the UK after that shambolic performance. I’d say it’s on the coaches and Guardiola but it might be they don’t really have a proper say in the matter when push comes to shove, it’s Guardiola’s way or the highway. All this retaining possession and pass, pass, pass is mind boggling, it’s hardly leading to a goal. I think it was the 85th minute, Marmoush ran almost the width of the pitch, beating two players then passed it backwards. I just let out a huge sigh, completely disbelieving why when we’re chasing the game, aren’t we getting the ball into the box, having a shot. The game was crying out for some width, it was so congested in the middle. I’m a FOC woman and if I could see it, how come not one but two multi award winning coaches not see it.

what is wrong witht he club is the recruitment....not the manager.

no single manager in world football can make any difference witht he squad we have...

there is a lack of bottle/fight/drive/leadreship and killer instinct in it.
