I don’t know what’s wrong and none of the explanations on here have changed that.

In his first season we all wondered whether he could bring the squad together to believe in his system, but he made it work. Now he’s trying to do the same but this time all the opposing teams know how to counter it so it’s much, much harder. My theory is there are not enough players in the squad that really trust he can make it work a second time.

What should have happened in the summer as spoken about at the time was the moving on of Stones and Ake to recruit other defenders who were ready to start....We also needed to recruit fullbacks - we didnt - we bought one fullback who looks like he cant or wont defend and is more interested in attacking.....both of these factors are now bitting us on the arse and the board and fans who thought that we didnt need this are now reaping what they sow.

Rodri was also spoken about....people went mad when it was suggested that he may not come back the same player or that at least (even when Pep said it) that it might take 12 months.....and look again what has happened....

Any team that starts with Reijnders and Lewis playing is automatically 2 men down due to the fact that one is not good enough in ANY aspect of the game with the ball at his feet (Lewis) and and the other one wont or doesnt get that he has to be defensive and aggressive....

we are getting what we deserve but not what Pep deserves

Since that game both Cherki and Fodens game has bombed as well as Doku. I can see the new winger game bombing as well.
Pep plays a system and ot seems to be getting a stricter system.
Teams just sit back and counter attack game after game and we do nothing to stop it

After what happened in the derby, the total shambles that was, any normal person would think that they cannot let it happen again in the next game.

For this to happen against a team who hasn’t played a game in over a month because their league season has finished is truly embarrassing.

Something at the club has to change. We have changed all the players, badly. In fact it is another conversation altogether about what a terrible job our DOFs have done in building a squad over the last two years the drop in quality is astounding. We have changed the DOF, there is only one other thing left we can change and that is the manager and I never for one second thought I would ever consider getting rid of pep might be the answer.

Just think there is no excuse to follow the derby performance up with another one like that.

Those don't seem like unfair questions. The last two matches have looked an awful lot like the confused team that had no answers last November.

We don't have the players to play our preferred tactics. But we do anyway. Everyone knows it doesn't give us the best chance of winning. Have to think that the players know it too, and it's effecting some of their performances.
