Looking at the quality gap from EDS to first team squad... the EDS players couldnt keep tge ball on the pitch long enough to make pattens of play exercises worth while. The drop in standards since wilcox left is remarkable. Club needs a change ..what was guehi thinking?I still can't figure out why we don't get the EDS in training to play in a low block then get first team to figure out the best way to get Haaland involved and if we can't then find a method of attacking that results in an attempt on goal. We seem petrified of taking it into the penalty area and we don't want to cross it in thus accounting for our woeful ignorance of ever knowing if the opposition keeper is any good
Play a team not playing the low / mid block like Arsenal there and the players we have now will still do that. The issue is, and it manifested regularly with Pep, is the loss of the ball and the transition with the high line we are destroyed. He is so stubborn, to the point of self destruction with his principles, that he rarely will adopted a more pragmatic approach, which is exactly what he should have done with the young inexperienced defence in the games since Chelsea get a draw if necessary but not these humiliating confidence sapping defeats Somehow it worked at Newcastle maybe that led him to believe we could get away with itSadly all the work that was put into the team to create that style has been lost
We are a shell of that style
Sorry missed out the bit about The Champions League which was the post was supposed to be aboutYea he has been really shit hasnt he? WTF are you on about?
I don't think he was crying. I was watching him on TV.Just about thawing out from what I think was the coldest away end since Copenhagen in 2009!
Huge respect to all the other Blues who made it up here - and I hope that seeing the Northern Lights was at least some compensation for that utter shower of shit.
I thought Pep was crying when they came over at the end, but maybe not - but you have to give credit to Bodo for the performance - and, for me, the pitch, our injuries, the cold, coming off the derby defeat, etc....are excuses that simply do not justify our performance.
At the final whistle, even those that were visably angry, joined in with 'we love you City'...becuase we all know that however poor the past month has been, this is still the club we love.
Just having a glance at tomorrow’s games it’s very likely we are out of the top 8. Not looked at the final round of games but looking like we will need results to go our way even if we win. A draw wouldn’t have been a bad result tonight and would have meant a win avoids the play off, also means we are likely to be the bottom of the five English clubs. Just to cheer you up.

Regardless of the issues you mention… a normal manager at a normal club, would be sacked after the last two appalling performances and resultsNoone gets sacked after 2 losses, second in the table, in a cup semi final, with the injury list we’ve got in what was initially considered to be a rebuild season.
Might be wrong but the EDS have won multiple PL2 and PL3 and the FA Youth Cup since agent Wilcox left we have also had more first team debuts as wellThe drop in standards since wilcox left is remarkable
I kept saying to my old man tonight, the positioning of the players looks wrong, the patterns of play look wrong..it’s just a mess at the moment.I’m starting to worry about the level of coaching and detail going into our training. Every time we concede possession it turns into a counter attack for the opposition it’s like we are playing 5v5 basketball. The midfield and defence are so disjointed especially the midfield there is too much fluidity the players are just running all over the place Rodri crossing over and going ahead of Rico Lewis and vice versa there is absolutely zero discipline in our press and our transitional game.
In big comps and big teams i agree.. we struggle constantly. Great v West Brom at home when the gulf in resources was massive. I do think the wool has been pulledvover the meejas eyes.. always said his record in big games is shit reallyMight be slightly heretical to some but Pep's record with us given the resources available to him has been piss pour

Injuries, inexperience, low confidence and a bad attitude were more relevant. And bad luck. Sometimes everything that can go wrong does go wrong in a game. We invited the defeat on ourselves by not treating the game seriously. We played like Man Utd do with airs and graces and came a cropper and were too weak to put it right. Our title winning sides sometimes started games on the wrong foot but had enough quality to turn games around. This side was unbalanced. It was not Pep's fault.Play a team not playing the low / mid block like Arsenal there and the players we have now will still do that. Then I fear a frustrating run to the end of the season. That isn’t going to happen, Pep has his style, the way he was taught is the way he wants the game to be played and the only differences are usually a tweak or two. It’s not even a blame game or a fault of his, it’s just run its course at City.
I had meant to say in The Champions League but it's been poor in recent Cup Finals alsoIn big comps and big teams i agree.. we struggle constantly. Enrique is leaving PSG at the end of the summerAll those advocating Pep being sacked who do you propose we get in Ole he’s free?
Did the manager not know that. He decided let’s play the same high line with two inexperienced centre half’s. . Doh, look what happened….twiceYeah, we need four of our senior defenders to not be injured.
