Caroll and ayew are only out for a few weeks. They aren't going to spend 20m to replace someone for a month

Ayew is out until Christmas mate and Carroll confirmed 4-5weeks...Cant see them spending 20mil on a striker but could see them agreeing a loan deal.

West Ham, Sunderland, Everton all need a player like him. 20m minimum... Lets start a bidding war!

I agree I'm quite hopeful we can get a good price for him, as someone said Everton have Lukaku but they do have the money to have two quality ones in rotation now so they might still be in for him.

I'd add Stoke, Swansea and possibly Arsenal, along with West Ham and Sunderland, even some of the smaller clubs might be be able to afford him depending on the wages.

Whatever happens he has to be the most baffling signing since the takeover. From what I remember we signed him as we had no available strikers but he had to miss a month due to the ACON by which time Dzeko and Aguero were fit.

Agree, Pellegrini probably pushed to sign him as he wants 4 strikers to play his 442.. but all of a sudden he changed to 4231 when it started to go tits up and signing Bony was completely pointless as a result..

I am convinced we could have made do without even signing him for all the help he has been tbh. That sounds harsh but it is not far from the truth tbh, he offered us so little. He was great for before he came to us but i never expected him to be such a square peg. There is a player in him still defo, just not with us.
