Well you're refusing point blank to give him any credit, pulling stats out to justify this, then claiming you don't need them when it turns out they're reflecting favorably on him. You've even attempted to claim that, as a striker, having more shots on goal than our midfielders and defenders is a bad thing (reminds me of the media trying to cast Sagna and Mangala communicating during games as some kind of evidence of unprofessional behaviour). You seem to be refusing to judge him as a backup striker and holding him to a higher standard than you could reasonably expect from Aguero. So it really does look like you're determined to see failure regardless. Tbh, there's a fair bit of that on this site these days, maybe it's contagious.

I was pointing out as a striker, he's scored as many goals as he has because he takes an incredible amount of shots per game. Moreover, his overall play is one that hurts the team. His lack of movement and mobility hurts those playing around him when creating space. His limited skill-set isn't what I really look at as a back-up striker. Remember a time when we had Kun, Tevez, Negredo and Dzeko? All of which are better than him. Apart from a good header and some decent hold-up play and passing, there's nothing there to suggest he'll be anymore than a trivia question years down the line.

No, I can't remember a time when we had Aguero, Tevez, Negredo and Džeko.

I remember when we were stocked with top strikers that none of them were ever happy though, you're not going to get anyone better than Bony to sit on the bench. As for taking shots that's his job. His hold up play is fantastic as well and gives us an option that only Negredo has given us since the takeover.

Unless £20m comes in I just can't see us selling.

There is nobody available in this window who could replace Bony that will be of a significant improvement.

So unless we are going to put our faith in keeping Sergio fit and having Sterling as Kelechi as backups I think Bony leaving will be a summer deal if it is to happen.
