Can't believe we got rid of Dzeko for Bony. Hope we've learn our lesson of not buying players on the back of 1 good season (Watch us buy Vardy for £30mil haha).
His selection yesterday and in recent weeks beggars belief. I don't blame Bony either for where he is now, this manager could probably drain the life force out of anyone, given time. The worst transfer since the takeover , both for the timing ie in January when we didn't need him and for the fact that he doesn't suit our style of play
Pelegrini also seems to think he should be playing as a number 10 , but that is more a comment on that clown than bony
Imagine bony leading the line for zenit on a cold snowy night......Pellers seems to like him a lot. Let's hope he likes him enough to want to take him to Zenit for a sizeable fee.
Take a look at @City_Watch's Tweet:
Totally. Never understood the loathing for Dzeko on here. Yeah, he had poor form for long periods but he scored some really important goals for us in crucial games. That's something I can never see Bony doing. Can't believe we got rid of Dzeko for Bony. Hope we've learn our lesson of not buying players on the back of 1 good season (Watch us buy Vardy for £30mil haha).
Which one?Does he still hold the ball up well?
So we're playing him to prevent us having to pay the sell-on fee.
I meant the add-ons rather than the sell-on fee, sorry.Surely the sell-on fee would only apply if we got more than he cost? Surely we don't get shafted again after we've taken a hit on selling him?
I think Bony has been very unfairly treated. He HAS score goals and he DOES get into positions to score. He was criticised for having SEVEN chances, only one on target? He had an initial drought period when joining the club partly due to never being given a full start at City after being a guaranteed starter at Swansea. The problem for him is that he has been getting stick even in a period when scoring every other game, so his confidence is shot because it's like he can't possibly do right. Now he is playing like the cap fits. He has a specific set of skills, very strong physically, plenty of guile and clinical finishing on form, but never a player with great mobility or pace, so don't judge him on that. Equally don't judge Toure on not being a box tO box midfielder at 32.
Don't hold your breath, it truly is one of the most strangest decisions he keeps making to stick by him. Aguero must even look at the teamsheet now and think ffs not again.Saw the words Bonys transfer and was elated.
Thought some daft twat had signed him from us....back down to earth now.
Just hope Pellers doesn't let him anywhere near the team v the rags.
