Boro Post Match thread

Played in a Semi on Sunday,a derby on Thursday, against a team scrapping for their lives today.....with a team hit by injury and a lack of depth.....and we get an away point that may be critical at the end of the season.

Pep out....lol.

Agree with that. It's not a bad point, and we now have 3 home games in a row against teams with little to play for, then Watford away who are safe. It's in our own hands, we just need to make sure we do nothing daft.

We'll be better next season. If not next season then the season after that. If not that season then the following one. We will be better one day.

So we're not gonna be in transition next season after buying half a new team?

To be fair, I'm not sure anyone denies the onus is on Pep big time to make next year a big success.

Boro deserved at least a point. The game had everything.

Boo fucking hoo, we got a point at Boro. We've only won there once in the league in the last 20 tries. Proud of the boys for coming back twice.

The manager will get it right, and we will see more of that 5 at the back next year, but with the right players to do it and do it well. We've really got some precious fuckers these days in our fanbase. No doubt that plays a big part in our embarrassing atmosphere at home games.

Supreme post, should be stickied.

whats the obsession with all the pep haters to keep pointing out how hes 'a genius or the best manager in the world', doesnt mean we are going to win every game or play well all the time. he had to make changes today, sane and sterling needed chaining as they've been out of form for weeks now.
Genius
Messiah
So called best manager in football
Blah blah
More fool them for setting the expectations so high

entertaining game. Showed a lot of bottle.

This was do or die for Boro and we went into the game with Wembley and the Derby in our legs. And missing Silva, yet some of you just expect to take the 3 points?

You criticise Guardiola, but you should know that these games can be very difficult.
Good post Marvin, keep it up fella :-)

In hindsight we'd have won had Sterling and Sané started, but they were fucking awful against Arsenal and United- the worst attacking performances of the season- and Pep was right to drop them. Half the pre-match thread suggested dropping them anyway.

We needed to make a lot of changes after the week we have had. I think he knows City have not been incisive enough.
When the space is offered I'm front if goal we do not run into it with the ball (to suck defenders out-of position or to have a running shot). We pass it back along the line or out to the flanks. This is clearly a Pep instruction and it does my head in.

as others have said. boro deserved at least a point, they played pretty well. - fighting for there prem survival. 2-2 isn't the end of the world.

Agree entirely.
