Don't quite know what's happened to Middlesborough fans ...
during the 70's-mid nineties they were one of the nastiest , passionate , and most vocal , bunches around ..... and a trip to Ayresome Park could be a 'hair-raising' experience , to say the least!
It was this particular bunch of scum who attacked the Clarence pub , on Wilmslow Road , before one game at Maine Road ... and it was this lot that encroached into the City section of the North Stand and almost started a riot !
But these days , what a transformation !
They hardly ever turn up in real numbers at home games , most appear disinterested , to say the least ... and the Riverside ground is like a graveyard most of the time.

Some brilliant camera work there, made it look like there was more than twenty of them in some shots!

a little bit cringeworthy when it's 30-40 of them but at least they're having a go.

I have been to a few games they have been at locally. They are basically in it for a laugh and show their support in a more flambouyant way!
It was funny when they were stood behind the goal at Stokesley and managed to set fire to their flags with a flare they set off! I think there is a video somewhere of it.
I have to admit that I work in Boro and a lot of their fans think they will go up this season. Not sure why they would want to, they would get smashed every week!
