I'm disappointed for Alvarez. He came to the club on the back of a good run of form and brought that into his first couple of appearances, but now he looks lost.i think he should have started in place of Marez or Grealish in some games. I don't know what he was told when he came, but it can't have been this.

I agree too.

Almost every game I hope he gets, if not a start, at the very least substantial minutes. Whenever he plays he looks good: hungry, decent, and most of all he seems to score goals. I like the look of him and I want to see more.

It looks to me, at least in these intitial stages, that he's going the way of another Jesus and I kinda think he's too good for that (I thought the same about Jesus too, and Torres, but that's by the by.). But then he's not gonna displace Haaland is he? If it was me, I'd stick him in an almost front 5 with Foden, Haaland, Bernie, and Kev, with Rodri in behind. Kinda like this i suppose:

Long term I feel they both miss too many chances. They're better suited in our team as dribblers and providers which is why we let them go as we need clinical finishers. Alvarez will show is worth if he gets a good run of form. He won't be like Jesus or Sterling where confidence means they need to be on a good run or feel like they're a guaranteed starter. He'll be able to do the business regardless.

And Mah-Raz must score
