Borussia Dortmund (A) | CL | Post-Match Thread

What has KDB got to do with Bellingham ?? Your talking nearly ten years ago when Dortmund were a lot stronger team than the current bunch, can't believe your associating the best midfielder in the world with a 19 year old who has a hell of a lot to learn.
Rags and Dippers world class ? You started early mate.
So Liverpool is not world class? A team that has been to 3 UCL finals in the last 5 years and that has competed with us until the end for 2 leagues and won one? If Liverpool is not world class, then there is not merit in winning PL.

There is no point in belittling our competition. The better the competition, the sweeter our victories and records. I think they are one of the best teams of this century(top 10 for sure), which makes us a truly historic team.

When KDB came to City he was just the best player from Wolfsburg and he was 4 years older than Bellingham right now. I don't think he'll be better, but mocking other teams is also mocking ourselves and our achievements.

The main thing for me is that we got a decent point and top the group. Agree that we controlled the game, but there were some disappointing individual performances. Mahrez, no explanation required! Cancelo proved again that his defensive skills are very poor. Foden didn’t look nowhere near his best and just faded out of the game. Positives were another assured display from Ake, confident display from Ortega, 100% effort as usual from Bernardo when he came on and good to see Stones back. Not a game I would enjoy watching again though. Move on and take 3 points from Leicester on Saturday please.
Thought Ortega did well. Good post.

we have won the cl group with a game to spare, sit 2nd in the prem and have a CF with (a cold) and the best scoring stats ever-all in a very congested season due to the WC.

Pep seems very, very frustrated with the penalty situation. Will be shocked if Mahrez gets another chance anytime soon!
I’m pretty forgiving, but I don’t see much out of him lately that merits a spot in the roster, much less a start.

Having lost Jesus and Sterling this season it's going to be a worry if Haaland gets injured as Alvarez looks miles off the pace at the moment after a great game against Forest. Puzzling reports, Pep.said a fever and other reports are saying a foot injury. Haaland hitting the ground running and Ake's form when fit are the only real positives so far this season. It's been hit and miss, loads of injuries and certain players well below their best. On the positive side we're second in the league and have qualified for the champions league knockout stages. If we stay near the top or go top before the cursed world cup break we can't really grumble, hopefully we'll get our proper rhythm back.
Long term I feel they both miss too many chances. They're better suited in our team as dribblers and providers which is why we let them go as we need clinical finishers. Alvarez will show is worth if he gets a good run of form. He won't be like Jesus or Sterling where confidence means they need to be on a good run or feel like they're a guaranteed starter. He'll be able to do the business regardless.

Well, that’s 10 hours of our lives we’ll never get back.

Still, top of the group!

You just described every CL group stage for me since about 2015. Tournament really needs changing

It’s a shame as he was mostly brilliant last year. Huge drop off this season so far. Difficult to be sure but he looks like he’s lost a half yard of pace as well.
