Bernie changed the game for us again but apart from that we were pretty poor

For consistency I’d go with Ake.
Not the most technical player but….
Both himself and Akanji have proper defensive instincts. Something we really need at times.

There’s no doubting the subs, particularly Bernie changed the game though.

Well that’s tough. Whilst John and Cancelo were huge in our come back, John in particular is neither a full back or a midfielder so no fault of his own, I thought he was a problem. He slowed our play, took too many touches and our right side was creaky.
I thought Ake and in particularly Akanji played well.
Bernie certainly upped the energy levels. What can you say aBout Haaland? I think we have a goal scoring monster on our hands. That and his massive personality will make him the most famous footballer ever to play for our club.
When I saw the team I suspected we would play as we did. We have problems on our flanks.
