Youre close but Mahrez will definitely start and I'd be stunned if Walker didn't. They've only had 3 days rest so take Bernado and Cancelo out and I'd say that's your team. I don't think I've ever got a Pep team 100% right in advance but in some ways I think this one mainly picks itself.

As we've got 5 subs I think we can put this to bed early on and then give significant game time to Ake and some kids.

It's anyone's guess with Pep roulette! I'd just like us to keep momentum with our best team. Therefore it's got to be Cancelo over Walker.

Pep consistently talks about the fine margins between success and failure in the CL and how a poor 45 minutes can mean you're out of the competition.

Think there is zero chance he will play anything other than a very strong team with subs around the hour mark if things look comfortable.

Yo O’s M, I get your drift but it really doesn’t ‘have’ to be Cancelo over Walker and there isn’t a best 11.
The selection is and should always be the 11 most appropriate players to play in the system the manager chooses to adopt to best deal with the opposition when taking match fitness and form into account.

For me the two absolute bankers to start are walker and gundogan for the pace, protection and control they provide, surprised to see so many teams without them.

I think Pep has learned and will be pragmatic here, we don't need to win, we don't even need to avoid defeat we just need to not get smashed.

I suspect it will be quite a dull performance but a professional one that sees us through with plenty of moaning about not winning 6-0 from the moron brigade.
