Borussia Mönchengladbach travel thread

Anyone staying inside the vrr region will be able to use your ticket on match day for train, tram and regional bua travel. For those that are staying in Cologne, ( vrs region ) best idea is to buy a train ticket to nearest vrr station ( Düsseldorf ) then your match ticket covers you for travel anywhere in that region, and that takes in monchengladbach. Anyone in a group of up to 5 or maybe even six that is staying further away can purchase a ticket for €40 that allows second class travel ANYWHERE in Germany but only on regional trains. Valid for one day.I think match ticket is valid until 1am but easy to check

Valid till 3am the morning after the game, the Germans do like a good drinking session after the match

A few of us have booked flights from Edinburgh (£55 return) and will be staying at Palazzo Hotel Mönchengladbach

Working for the railways has its advantages, Eurostar to Brussels for £44 then train to Dusseldorf two nights at Hotel Mondial near Station for £30 a night. Might even be able to afford Seville at this rate lol

Right that's it, I've stopped arsing around and just booked it. Down to that London on the train, Eurostar to Düsseldorf, two nights in hotel and back the same way - £250, job done!
