BORUSSIA-PARK STADIUM The address for Borussia-Park stadium is Hennes-Weisweiler-Allee 1, 41179, Mönchengladbach. Borussia Mönchengladbach play their home matches at the Borussia-Park stadium, situated in the west of the city. This new stadium was opened in 2004. In common with most German football stadia, there are standing places which can be converted to seating for international and UEFA matches. The capacity of the stadium is 54,010 with standing places, reducing to 45,873 in all-seated mode. The stadium is of a rectangular design, with cover over all supporter areas TRANSPORT Borussia-Park is located on the south-western edge of the city of Mönchengladbach, slightly more than 4 kilometres from the city centre and about one kilometre more from the city’s main railway station. The stadium lies very close to the A61, which runs west of the city. Take exit Holt, turn onto the Aachener Straße (away from the city), and a few hundred metres later right onto the Straße Am Borussia Park. Match tickets also serve as tickets for the public transport system in the VRR and NEW regions (equivalent to a Deutsche Bahn second-class ticket). A bus shuttle service to the stadium leaves every few minutes from the main railway stations in Mönchengladbach and Rheydt and will take you back to either of these two stations after the game. The cost of the shuttle bus service is also included in the price of the match ticket. A special train service also operates after the match. The stadium announcer will provide information about departure times on the video screens shortly before the end of the game. Unreserved parking is available at car parks P4, P5 and P6 and costs €5. These car parks can only be reached via the Mönchengladbach-Nordpark turn-off on the A 61. Coaches must park on car park P4 (€15). Those who would prefer to park free of charge and wish to avoid having to wait after the game are advised to go to the main railway stations and use the bus shuttle service provided by NEW. MEETING POINT & FREE SHUTTLE BUSES The Mönchengladbach Police have advised supporters to head for the centre of the nearby town of Rheydt on matchday, where there is a main railway station (with a direct connection from Düsseldorf) and bars and restaurants available. From this “fan zone” in Rheydt the local authorities will provide free shuttle buses to take supporters from Rheydt direct to the entrance at the stadium. The journey time is expected to be no more than 15-minutes. Supporters will have to show a valid match ticket to gain access to the free shuttle buses.

On the 7:55 Germanwings flight from Manchester tomorrow morning, looking forward to it now!
