Borussia Monchengladbach (a) Post Match Thread

Stats are not everything & with this group of players around him he should be doing better. Its clear to see his finishing has to improve especially his decision making when he's 1 on 1

I would settle for his 1st touch getting back to something like it used to be.

It could be because he's trying too hard or something, but the amount of times its let him down is a bit of a concern.

So as shite as he has been and not cutting it as you say, the shitebag has still managed 13 goals and 10 assists, I can't wait for him to kick back into form and bring something to the team.

Just an opinion pal. Whether you agree or not, Raheem is having a mare and Pep is playing him constantly to try get him through his bad patch but the fact is he is not with it.

his “bad patch” is only a consideration if you are comparing Raz with ....Raz.

As a top player - compared with other top players - he is up there with the best, as the stats prove.

I think its Sterling's pace that's keeping him in the team atm. When he plays wide defenders are forced to double up on him which creates space for the others.

Jonathan Liew in the Guardian...

the perfect distillation of City in the early part of 2021: a team fuelled entirely by their own volition, a team who ultimately don’t care if you’re there or not, a team playing a game that doesn’t really require you to participate.

this guy is one of the few journalists who can write without bias.

A credit to his industry in this age of disgraceful idiots that write for the Independent from Dublin

I loved Pep's media room interview

'What would you say is the biggest reason for this run of 19 successful wins?'

Pep: 'we have a lot of money to buy a lot of incredible players'.

Boiling piss, meet latent heat.
This is the way to go.
Instead of getting defensive about accusations of having huge financial backing, we need to just own it and wear it, just as we used to wear the being shit tag.
Fuck 'em.
I remember Balotelli once being asked by a policeman why he had around £6000 in his pocket, "because I am rich", was the answer.
