The first half was probably as good a performance as I've seen by any City team in my 60 years watching.

Absolutely dominant, in total control and hardly out of second gear. Last night's starting eleven is our best team by a long way in my opinion.

I really hope we draw Bayern Munich over two legs in the quarters or semi final - It would be a shame to have only one match between the best teams in Europe at the moment.

Onwards and upwards.
 
I watched this game with delight. It seemed to me City just went up to a new level. Two excellent goals. Not a player who looked inadequate. If we can play like this to the end of the season, nothing is beyond us. No wonder the bitters are bitter. They will get bitterer yet.

Big things for me are that Mahrez has really gone from zero to almost undroppable. A constant danger and goal threat. He seems to understand much better when to pass/shoot/dribble.

Remember when people were saying that Kev shouldn't be in the squad and doesn't deserve a new contract because he's 30 and injury prone? Yeah, get in the fucking bin lads. Showed last night why he's not just the best player in our team, but the best player in the league. A masterclass in running a game from the false 9 position.

Oh and the lad from round are way, Phillip. Fuck me ... never been prouder of being from Stockport than I have been since I started watching that boy play. What a player. TBH, I think only his age gets him rotated, because on performances I still think he's more consistent than Raz, Mahrez, and Jesus.

Looking forward to the draw, and really not afraid of anyone. Think in many respects the 'top' team are Bayern, and I'd be okay with getting them now because I'd rather play them over 2 legs than 1.

Last season i thought we had no chance of winning the cl because Bayern looked un-beatable. This season, and without Pep having a brain fart, i think we could give them a game and walk off winners.
The back 3 we now have could keep Lewandowski and his mate quiet and we have the quality up front to get past anyone.
 
When City play like that I don't think any team can live with us, it reminded me a lot of our performance away at Chelsea, earlier in the season.

The fluidity, movement and tempo must be a nightmare for opposing teams, as well as the extra numbers in midfield at times, with the way Cancelo and KDB play. I think the lineup last night is probably our strongest eleven. It's the team I would like to see start in the big games.

There are no easy games from here on in in the champs league, but we have every reason to be optimistic, no matter who we are drawn against. Being able to make as many as 5 substitutes could also be a big benefit to us and if we can keep Aguero fit he could still have a big part to play, even it it is from the bench.
