Like some else said, the majority are on a massive ego trip. Was in town the other night I'm the queue minding my own business with a pal. Bouncer looks and says and I quote " what are you doing here?" What do you think I'm here for you fat fuck to play a round of golf, alto want to provoke and get a rise. What was the row about between the bouncer and your mate?
I was chatting up the barmaid, she was receptive to be fair but the owner came along and said we were too drunk. My mate laughed, and then next thing we knew he got lifted off his feet and thrown out.. My mates the composed himself and the bouncer and him started to argue..
She was for though..

I'd leave it. The police and the bouncers looking after each other all the time, and normally cctv footage is not enough for them to be prosecuted. Talking from experience, they're a bunch of twats who are on massive power trip.
Haha you clearly know fuck all if you think the police look after us, we're on our own most times , police very rarely on hand to help, I've done it for 17 years but to be honest if OP telling truth then I couldn't work with dickhead like that, our job hard enough without bringing grief on ourselves but I don't think anyone likes being filmed, doormen, police or public.

Whilst you're probably right about people generally not wanting to be filmed, you can't just twat someone and take their phone of them ha! (well you can, but you know what I mean)

Hmm... I'm gonna disagree here as you can't pidgeon hole every single doorman, or the "majority" as you put it.
What does stand however is just like any other group in society the dickheads stand out above everyone else.
Millions of football fans go to matches week in, week out, yet every week we'll see a video on youtube showing what maybe 10 lads having a scrap at a match.
You won't see the videos of everyday people attending the footy.
The doormen will have alot to contend with... We all know what we can be like once we've had a few and the doormen are being confronted with pissed up idiots such as myself ( a human being) on a regular basis, so they will have a different view of the general public, and will react accordingly... OFTEN OUT OF FEAR FOR THEIR OWN SAFETY.
Yes people... Alot of those lads working the doors are shitting their pants because of what may about to happen or through past experiences what has previously happened.
They might look tough - and that's probably because they've had a good few hidings themselves.
Some will have an Ego, and be confrontational/defensive... That approach won't get them anywhere in that industry as it just doesn't work - unless they purposely want to have a ruckus.
If I was running the doors of a club I wouldn't want to employ lads who were looking for a scrap every night... Put it that way :)
As alluded to previously... if you don't like the conduct in any way of the employee - Get His/Her SIA badge number and report them.
