Bournemouth (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

We really need to stop conceding goals in the first ten minutes, as we do in every game.

Pep needs to improve as soon as possible.

We had to hit the brick wall at some point and we have now.

We need to get behind the lads and keep the faith. This team and this manager have give us so many brilliant memories over the years, to be a mardarse and slag them off isn't even in my thinking.

Bournemouth aren't no slouches, they're organised and full of energy.

Have a good night you proper blues, let the usual nobheads and rags post their comical shite when we don't win.

Super city.

Some moron on here acted like a dickhead after Wolves when I said the last minute goal papered over cracks and that it wouldn't be sustainable to perform the way we have done this season and expect us to win anything.

Will be loads more days like today if Pep don't rectify glaring issues quickly

Absolutely shocking, only turned up for last 10 mins. We need a big big overhaul next summer, makes you wonder if Txiki has ‘retired’ or if he’s been told to leave cause this squad is a disgrace, far too many old and injury prone players.

A thoroughly deserved defeat. Not sure going full strength in Portugal would be wise as it feels like we’d lose at Brighton too if we flog the players some more. Happy to throw the Sporting game to have more of a chance next weekend.
Can't afford to do that and risk two extra games in the new year.

I can only put that down to a lot of players playing through injury out there today, otherwise we're in for a very difficult Christmas.

We've gone into this season too light on numbers and the injury gods have been very cruel to us.

No excuse for not playing McAtee at some stage today though and playing that embarrassment of a human being at right back.

Hopefully Savinho, Ruben and Johnny can be back for Wednesday. And can we have the Phil that turned up in injury time from the start please?

Nobody in their right mind could argue that this hasn't been coming.
Well, we're two points behind the leaders, without having played well for many matches. That's just the honest truth. We've had an awful run of injuries. It's not exactly the apocalypse, at the beginning of November. But there's no room for complacency, and clearly things need fixing. To start with, the way we keep, repeatedly, getting caught out by the pace of many teams with a ball over the top or down the wings. That's now not coincidence. It's a recurrent pattern.
Pep — fix that!
