Bournemouth (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

I was shouting at two things - midfield players first half just not looking to go forward into space, and Oliver not giving a foul for the studs up challenge on Erling.

You can’t even blame tiredness when they’re putting twice the effort in at 80 minutes onwards.
If we’d have shown half of that desire and effort throughout the game we wouldn’t have scrambling around for an equaliser.
It’s been coming that result.
Hopefully it’ll give us a much needed kick up the arse.
Results this season haven’t reflected our performances.

Expected to lose today

Piss poor but can’t ignore the injuries and 4 or 5 half fit / out of form players having to play

I totally expect us to lose in Lisbon as well

Been coming all season. I really can't fault the effort but it's a season too far for too many of these players. Bournemouth were better in every department except passing sideways and backwards. I think, no expectations we just keep trying and see where that takes us.

That said, Doku looked great after coming on and we have a few others to come back, including hopefully Kev soon.
The disrespect to him has been as comical as it has been for Lewis. If people can't see what he brings to us, even in his performances where on the surface not giving much to us, then idk what to say.

If we still manage to win the league after these constant shit shows - the FA should deduct 10 points from all the top teams!

A thoroughly deserved defeat. Not sure going full strength in Portugal would be wise as it feels like we’d lose at Brighton too if we flog the players some more. Happy to throw the Sporting game to have more of a chance next weekend.
Imagine the fucking media if we lose that sporting game though!

A drop-off was inevitable.

Although I’ve got shit on for criticizing our performances this season, even when we win, because they have, in fact, been way below par, so I’m not sure why so many are seemingly surprised and/or upset.

As much as I love him, Pep has been awful, too. Where’s the energy on the touchline? Why is Gundo still starting? What is he giving us that McAtee can’t? Why did he keep Haaland on today? he was clearly hurting, and we were basically playing with ten men. I won’t even get into Walker still playing, let alone starting. He’s been awful for two years now. The disrespect to Lewis recently, in my eyes, has been laughable.

Credit to Bournemouth. They’re an excellent team and are the deserved winners.
Unfortunately I can’t argue with any of that. We’ve got to try and hang on within 5 points of the dippers by about Xmas then we have a chance. If we don’t win it at least we’ll get rid of some of the shit fans we’ve inherited

Prob the wake up call we normally need. Wouldn't be surprised if we go on a 10 game unbeaten run!
We keep going behind and have to score last minute winners or goals to get a point. We lost in midweek. How many wake up calls do we need?

Bournemouth Fulham Wolves Southampton Brentford Geordies Ipswich all iffy performances if we’re being honest, worrying
