Bournemouth (A) Post Match Thread

Hard to play when the opposition team is defending with two banks of four behind the ball

Have to agree - he could have gone to Wolves at the start of the season but wanted to stay and fight for his place - he was always available in advanced positions on the left - my only complaint is at times Sterling and Merlin didn’t use him enough when he was trying to stretch their back line - it’s going to be interesting watching this lad develop in the next couple of years - especially against much better teams than Bournemouth

Exactly what I was thinking in terms of opposition but if I had to pick between him and Mendy right now to keep as a left back it would be Zinc all day long, attitude speaks for a lot, don't get me wrong I rate Mendy (in a fashion, as I don't think he takes it seriously enough) but Zinchenko is a better all round player in our system easy.....

He did say he wasn’t giving up his place without a fight. Model professional and proving to be a key part of our squad.

Its often said the opposition dont have to do what suits us as in try to play but fuck me, they are a PL club and that today from them was an utter embarrassment.

Managers like Howe get lauded but then they come up with a game plan like that and wonder why they dont every get a job at a bigger club?

Pretty much everyone uses the virtually the same game plan against us now and if it works you get pillocks saying how their manager out thought Pep when they should say that they were the lucky one.

Injury news:

Pep says that John Stones and Kevin de Bruyne have muscular injuries and "when you play 25 games in 93 days it is a physiological issue. We do not have time to let players recover".
