What's the idiot proof* way of converting decimal to traditional odds?

Asking for a friend, see?
All you do is add the numerator and the denominator of the trad odds and divide them by the denominator again.

For example odds of 4 to 1 means a 1/ ( 4+1 ) or 20 per cent chance of winning.

odds of 4 to 1 would be expressed 0.2 or 20 per cent chance of winning.

Bournemouth are currently 11.00 expressed as a number meaning a bet of 1 dollar wins you 11 dollars or odds of 11 to I.

Me too...we're the lucky ones. Basically your hard earned money goes to people like betfred, bet 365 etc. There's a woman who has just become the richest in UK who made 300million last year and guess what she does for a living...yup she owns an online betting company.
Hey; it beats pulling your guts out in a factory nine hours a day.

10 to 1. The 11 includes the stake.
