Bournemouth (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

An absolute canter. Seven minutes to win the game, then just play out the 90.

You don't win premier leagues by beating the likes of Bournemouth, but you do set down a marker to show what you have in the tank.

Don't see anyone getting near us this season, despite a couple of fairly early losses.

I personally don't see it being THAT easy, given our schedule this season. But we shall see

It’s pretty ominous. Played in second gear and still scored 6. If we’d needed to score 10 today we would have.

Great performance, love how patient we stay whilst trying to break teams down that have no real interest in attacking play. Some on here thought we were poor for the first 25mins which I totally disagree with. Everyone was ace with the exception of Nunes who doesn’t look that excited to be playing for the champions and shows in his football.

Doku will get all the applause but Silva was excellent and agile. Rodri was also quietly great. Kova played two really poor passes in the first 10 minutes then seemed to settle down a bit. Alvarez was probably the worst of the bunch and couldn't really get into the game.

Doku has great ability to beat a player from a standing start. He's not the kind of winger that needs lots of space to run into and he rarely gives the ball away.

We’ll be some team when we actually get into third gear
Poor attitude post the half time break, like v Brighton. But even a 10% increase in intensity killed the game
Enjoyed Bobb and Rico’s cameos. Still need Kovacic and Nunes to show a lot more than they have done so far
