Bournemouth (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

After the Rags got dry bummed by Barca in 2011 they went round telling everyone that Barcelona were the best team in the world ever.

Pep will never say it but City are so much better than they ever were.

We play in a much stronger league and we dominate it to fck. We won the Champions league while winning a treble.

Quite simply we are the best football team in the world!

Probably the best football team ever
I said the same after we did the treble. There was a series on a cable channel showing legendary matches & they showed 4 of Pep's Barcelona.

Messi aside, Pep's City are superior without a doubt. I never thought I'd ever utter those words, because in my mind Pep's Barça were the best football team I'd ever seen. This is how good & how special Pep Guardiola's City are.

If we were called Barça or Real etc, I think this opinion would be the accepted view, BUT we're only likkle Manchester City, the FFP cheats owned by brown Muslims who rule a terrorist oil state... \0/

Dominant display
Anyone else notice at half time all the groundsman did all there work in one half the pitch obviously due to the amount of time we spent in that half

Prem goals record v Bournemouth - P13 scored 44 conceded 7 they said on Talkshite on radio on way home yesterday.

That's shocking, but good for us
You just know their fans, in their hearts, know they will get a tonking but are happy to be present to watch the unreal football we play. Just to be part of it.
Not that any fan would admit to it, mind.

It is a bit weird and really not like City at all. The period when he brought on Nunes and Phillips to give us a vastly weaker midfield than I am comfortable with, was a slight worry too. Such a drop-off from these guys. Sure, we scored more, but the point stands that Nunes and Phillips are miles away from City levels. Miles away.

I thought that. Frustrating and worrying

Why are you asking that question now when we don't play at Anfield for a few months.
Because of Doku’s great performance on Saturday and the great questions it poses for Pep AND the fact it is a fixture we never seem to win no matter how good we are.

Day late, and it's probably been said a million times already, but we played some spectacular football yesterday. Also, I would imagine we are all Chelsea tomorrow?

Gundo of the past couple of seasons maybe

He wasn't much of a goalscorer when he joined us. His first 4 seasons with us in the league he got 0, 4, 2 & 6.

He's only currently got 1 for Barcelona

It was only really the last 3 seasons with us where he started finding the net more, probably served by the way we play. But he isn't really scoring for Barca now.

So you never know, the more comfortable Kovacic gets with our team, he might get a few goals.
Hope you are right but Kovacic has played in the PL for some time before he came to us. When Gundo came to us he hadn't played in the PL at all. Also Kovacic is in the latter part of his career so this is the time you would expect him to put those easy chances away as an experienced player.

I hope Spurs win, the further they can get in front of the rags and dippers the better.

No way will Spurs get the 85+ points needed to finish above us regardless of how well they’re doing in early November. Let them enjoy their day in the sun - we’ll reel them in soon enough

Nunez played well
