Boyata gone on loan

What the fuck is the point? Mancini either rates him or he doesn't. Keep or sell. I hate having players out on loan.

You can't just magic up a club willing to buy whoever you want rid of. The point is that we save on wages, possibly get a loan fee and maybe even improve relationships with another club on the continent.

This. I dunno why people are getting stressed over this.

That's right.

Some clubs in England and many clubs abroad are skint.

Its not just that. Sending a player out on loan may improve the player sufficiently that they break into the first team here, something that wouldn't happen if they didn't play anywhere, if he does well (and he's getting european experience) even if we don't use him, it ups his value.

The one downside is he'll playing under McClaren at Twente.

Boyata what ive seen of him he looks a better right back than centre back he did well against chelsea 2 seasons ago but got sent off against arsenal when he was centre back.He looks better than savic in both positions though

To be fair to the lad he does have talent,he took the sending off against Arsenal hard and it was never a red but a definite yellow card.
Then he goes to notlob and get's fucked about by them a la Weiss and comes back more confused, so sending him to Twente is gonna be good for all parties.
I don't understand why people are writing this kid off already when he has dine next to nothing wrong other than bungle an early challenge in a big game early in his carreer!

Seemed a nice enough lad but just never seemed "aggressive" enough to really make it as a top defender.

I hope his loan move goes well and he gets a permanent move. FC Twente are a good side and a good platform for him to develop.

Re: Boyata gone on loan - or being sold?

The Times are reporting this morning that Boyata is in talks with Twente on a permanent deal, so we may be selling if terms can be agreed.

Or, the press are getting it wrong again??

Sorry, don't have a link as it's a subscription service. Also reported on what the papers say on sky.

Hope it's a sale, we'll need as much cash as possible from all the deadwood if we're in for Messsi :)

But I thought it was Rooney we were after. The leg gash may just have reduced his value by another 5 million.
