I remember when he got sent off after about 5 mins v arsenal
Also when Mancini fell out with Lescott and he was thrown into that rag semi final and got a bit lost for a couple of their goals
But also scored in that mad trip v Timosoara in Romania iirc?
Had a decent career though, Celtic fans remember him quite fondly

Agreed he had a decent career after us and played in several important matches for Belgium as well.

He made the last of his 26 appearances at Brugge 11 months ago and when his transfer fee from Hertha Berlin and his bumper salary was added up, it was worked out he cost the club an eye-watering £190,000 for every game he completed.

Boyata said ahead of the Celtic game: "Sometimes I train alone, sometimes with the reserves and regularly I get a program that I have to do at home - away from the training centre. I mainly struggle with the fact that I am isolated from everything and everyone.


"They wanted me to change in a small room where the cleaning crew keeps their stuff. I refused. I pick up my clothes there and just do it in the dressing room.

"And because I'm only allowed to train in the afternoon, I can't eat at the club anymore. That way they want to make sure that I have no contact with my teammates in any way.

"It's like I have a hyper-contagious disease."

He scored in the home game, header from a corner in the 2nd leg in front of the north stand and got the announcers MOTM.

Kinda finished Nedum at the club.
 
Was a tank for Hertha for a few years in the Bundesliga, underrated player who in his prime, probably should have started more for Belgium over the aging Vermalen and Vertonghen.

31 caps still though in Belgiums golden generation!
