That is really harsh. Things have to go very wrong t get to that point. You would just go on loan but maybe there us so much bad feeling from the club they would rather humiliation for the player instead of getting him away and recouping some level of the cost.Sounds like a disappointing end to his career

I guess because the salary is so big and as long as they pay it then there is not much point in the player claiming for damages or something. It feels like a slam dunk win though if they did.I always wonder how football clubs think they can get away with this & how it’s never challenged legally.
