Boyata...then

Out of our current academy, Guidetti has the best chance of breaking through. Ben Mee and Ibrahim look good but Guidetti always catches the eye when watching the EDS.

Boyata looks quite accomplished for one so young , but then he did on that depressing day at Hull when older heads around him offered him such little support ...... he came through that experience well , and he's doing fine now .......

i know that Boateng gets all the plaudits , but for me there isn't that much between the two ....... Boyata is a real find , and will only get better the more he plays.

Mee was awful against WBA.

Like most though, he was thrown in at the deep end.

It will be interesting to see how he does because he was in the Youth Cup winning team and since then has never really stepped up a level and perhaps never will.

Boyata definitely has the makings of a fantastic centre half, calm under pressure, reads the game well,pacey/athletic and strong in the challenge.

Nimley and Guidetti should also make an impression and, although times running out,Donal Mcdermott may still have a chance, has bags of ability and works hard in the reserves, would have liked to have seen him in the CC with the others.

Think Nimley has a chance of making it but i honestly can't see anybody else breaking through from the current lot on the fringes. Few seasons ago there would of been a few more that could make it but only the very very best will make it now.

When January comes and hopefully our mini defensive crisis has passed i would like to see Dedryck go on loan for half a season, think it would bring him on even more if he gets regular first team football.

Nimely
Boyata
Guidetii
Ibrahim
Benali
Vesali

All the above will get chances to prove if they can make it

Maybe Mee, cunningham, Ball, Tutte, Kay and mcdermott (very doubtful though)

From our youth team probably the likes of bunn,Henshall,Drury and Olle look like the most likely to get a chance.
