On the 25th April at the home game to Villa there will be a minutes silence and me and my son will be raising a flag to honour my Grandad who lost his life along with the others on that tragic day. The best fans in the world will join me in remembering the 56 I am sure.
I loved my grandad and I love man city sat next to my son who I love more than life itself what more could I ask for when honouring him and them on the 30th Anniversary.

That brought a tear to my eye. We will be with you thinking of your grandad Eric, and all the others affected by the fire that day. He would be so proud of you and your boy.

Will be well respected by all football fans.Remember buying the football pink at Picc gardens bus station after we beat Charlton to read about the horrors of that day in Bradford.

i am pretty sure a minutes applause or silence or even "There's only 1 Eric Hudson" could be sung in minute 56,

If you think of all the disasters that happened in this country in the 1980's.
The one at Bradford always seems to be the one forgotten by the people in this country.
RIP to Eric and all that perished on that awful day.

Eric Hudson was my grandad and we were all there on the day of the fire. Unfortunately we got out but he didn't and he later died in hospital. He was the last victim to pass away.
In hospital 24 hours later my grandad wrote me a note because he couldn't speak asking if my beloved Man City had won that day. I will miss my grandad forever and on the 11th May every year remember him and all of the 56 who tragically passed away.

i feel for you mate. my grandson is 6, i met him from school yesterday and we went off having fun. we buy sweets, we feed ducks and its off to town for a hot chocolate somewhere. i love him with all of my heart. the thing is it popped in head who would he do this with when i've gone, it shook me a little that we take time together so much for granted. he's upstairs now as he's with us for a sleepover and when he wakes up i am going to eat him. your grandad with have felt exactly the same with you, age doesn't matter you would still have been his life. the fact that you remember eric so fondly is a testament to him and what values he gave you.

to eric and all who lost their lives r.i.p.

Great that you remember him and still feel a bond.My Grandad Bill died on Grey Mare Lane in 1974 and its a long story but if it wasnt for him City would never have won the league in 2012.

Think the day of the fire was the day City got promoted v Charlton.....can never forget the scenes at Valley Parade and felt guilty celebrating City going up.
