Bradford City thread

I didn’t say that.

Maybe you should read my words again to see that I didn’t mention any players specifically - not even the ones that you‘ve chosen to list - so you can toddle off and have a pop at someone else instead eh?
My comments weren’t aimed specifically at you. Apologies if you thought they were.

It was a general point that Hughes takes the blame for poor signings, but doesn’t receive credit for good ones.

People can’t have it both ways.

Maybe I should have put in an independent post, rather than quoting yours.

You did actually direct your words to me but thanks for clarifying and no offence taken mate.

My view was, and still is, that Hughes didn’t sign any players (not the good ones nor the less good ones) as that’s always done by the club.
Also, our player targets were identified by our scouting team.
Hughes will have been able to pass comment but he didn’t have the clout to actually make the decisions on player recruitment.

Even Pep, who does have massive influence for obvious reasons, doesn’t have the final say on player recruitment.

I always have a soft spot for teams against whom we’ve had great wins on big occasions and for many years that was a pretty short list with for me personally just Charlton and Bradford and Gillingham on it. So while I don’t scour the classifieds for Bradford’s result every week I just have a general feeling of hoping they do well and it’d be nice to see a decent chap like Hughes lead them back up the divisions

Good luck to him, but about his level really. Hopefully the days of Hughes, Puliss, Allerdice, Bruce etc are gone.
