Bradford disaster.

Absolutely bloody awful.

It was brought live onto television as they went across. Never again do I want to see images of fans burning to death as they walk alongside a football pitch.

i've seen indepth footage of this being a firefighter, horrible horrible disaster.
RIP

I have seen the extended footage too and found it one of the most harrowing thing I have ever seen

RIP

have also seen the footage at work as it was a fire awareness course.Absolute tragedy watching it and this was about 5 years ago. What also is noticeable is the ages of the older fans.I bet they didn't stand a chance. Why do fires only seem to occur when the weathers glorious and not during a rainstorm? It may have made a difference that day..

RIP to all who perished that day and maximum respect for bradford city fc for their dignity towards the disaster ever since.

When you read the names and the ages, a father and his twin sons, a father and daughter, what seems to be a granda and grandson......truly heartbreaking.
In memory of all those that have lost their lives watching the beautiful game.

(& shame on all those chairmen that used the fans as a cash cow to milk to the extreme while failing to provide even the most basic of safe environments to watch the game we all love.)

Sent a shiver down my spine to see the ages of a few lads on that picture, god bless and RIP.

Im young and hadnt really had much of an idea on what happened - but reading all the names on that list just gives you an idea on how devastating it must have been. Rest in Peace.

EDIT - I just listened to the radio commentary on youtube, and about half way through I had to stop listening cos it was so upsetting. How could this have happened?? Absolutely terrible.

We played Bradford the week before the fire. They beat us 2-0 at Burnden to win the Third Division title. I sometimes wonder how many of their supporters who were celebrating that day, perished the week after. It's a sobering thought.

I know this sounds dumb, but by only kust seeing that memorial has it hit home generations of families perished. I remeber it clearly and thought it was awful at the time, but seems worse now that i'm a father myself and take my two young 'uns to the games.

RIP to all concerned.
