Don't talk twaddle, he re-tweeted a couple of tweets about Rashford from United's twitter feed. Perhaps he's a mate of his?
I hope you are correct and it was all very supportive/innocent stuff. However,i also saw the tweets and I too formed the impression he was suggesting we don't give youth a chance, ive said it before, and its still a gut feeling......but I think Campbell sees his future elsewhere.

Perhaps you missed this one then...

There were definitely more than a couple of RTs, more like 5 or 6, and while he may be a friend he may also be trying to make a point.

Can't see how what I've said is twaddle either, just reading between the lines.

Hopefully he'll sign his contract and have a long career with us.

Exactly.

It definitely isn't twaddle. Some of it is because it's their mates, yep, but one tweet of his was defo making a point. There are "issues" with some at u16s level. They'd have signed already otherwise. Hopefully it'll all be fine, but burying heads in the sand and pretending is fine is pointless. Hopefully City will sort it all anyway cos the lads are supremely talented.

The Denayer, Lopes fuck up at the start of the season certainly didn't help matters. Can't blame them for thinking the grass is potentially greener elsewhere, especially as Pep will want to bring in his own signings. And you've got Spurs, Arsenal and the rags all benefiting from utilising their academies (of which, we are repeatedly told, ours is best)

Saying pep coming would be a block for the youngsters?! THe man that brought through 22 players in 4 years at Barca? That's a novel idea. Complete bullshit obviously, but novel.

I meant in a more general sense that a new manager likes to bring in new players, out of elite managers pep is definitely the best to have for the youth but i was trying to get into what the youngsters might be feeling, pessimism is hard to shake

Heard Paul Lake saying great things about the young Spanish lad yesterday. I've not seen him in the flesh yet but hopefully will do soon.

Love this player. Worth the entry fee for any U18 game. Hope plenty people get down on Friday v Arsenal. A very special player.
