For all of the youth team age levels, you can go back a few years and struggle to find anyone playing outside of Spain. That's why Angelino, Maffeo and M Garcia don't have youth caps despite being the talents they are.

There's a video on an article from the MEN last year here: http://www.manchestereveningnews.co...-news/manchester-city-new-messi-diaz-10464255 which shows Diaz at a younger age. He's the little lad playing against older, much bigger lads and bamboozling them all (ferocious tackler too). The very last goal where he ties the goalie in knots is astonishing really.

Feel bad for those three, but hopefully if they progress under Pep they can make the step up. I was going to comment on Aleix Garcia having youth caps but realized we just bought him from Villareal.

wow I havent seen that video before. I actually thought the ball looked too big for him! He will become a top top star player and I just pray it's with us. After seeing his first game for City's under 18's away ar Rhyl ( the opponents were monsters in comparison) it was clear there was something exciting happening. That recent game against Chelsea where he turned 3.1 down into a victory ( and Chelsea are a quality 18's side), scoring key goals for the 18's through the season.

I struggle to find the right words to express how good I think he is and can be and this at a times when we have loads of seriously talented lads on our books.

Brilliant to hear the stuff being said about our academy and how it is going to develop after this season. The future is so so bright I just cannot wait

I'm getting the feeling that these 2 FA Cup finals could be his breakout moment in terms of widespread national attention. So many people and journalists watch the final, and especially if we manager to win the cup, Brahim could be thrown into the spotlight if he makes the game his own, like we know he can.

Thinking exactly the same thing myself, players of his type and potential step up on the big occaisions. I'm fully expecting him to be the star of the show tonight.

By the same token, given his relative inexperience, the game might pass him by....I don't expect it too,but it could be a possibility as,with all emerging talent,he is sure to have a dip at some time........if that is the case,I really hope the doom merchants keep a lid on their opinions.

It won't pass him by but he might not be able to run the show like he did against Chelsea a few weeks back. Chelsea will be evn more aware of him this time and will no doubt have plans to stop him so I hope the ref is on the ball tonight. We do have other players though that can create plenty of problems so I expect a quality game whatever.

That's a better way of putting it,cheers Nelly.

Phenomenal talent. Was crazy seeing a 16 year old being double and triple-marked by one of the strongest youth teams in Europe and he was still skinning players for fun. His close control and depth of passing is incredible and he seems switched on enough, fighting for every ball and tracking back. I honestly can't wait to see him in the first team.

And if I remember correctly, he was being pulled back and still launched a perfect through ball which lead to Nemane's goal.
