Brazil V Holland

Brazil are a great team but today they were beaten by a better side. The difference was Robben. Brazil's best player was Alves.

City....sign up Robben and Alves!!!!!! (only joking...or am I?)

Well if it's Argentina v NL, I can't see Howard Webb getting the final as a European, it's going to be an Asian.

If it's Germany v NL, then Webb might well be in the box seat.

Not the better players?

Brazil's 4 defenders are better but midfield and attack are not better.

Hollands players have been instrumental in Euro succes this year (Van Bommel, Robben for Bayern, Sneijder for Inter). Van Persie is a class act as well but is not even playing on 20% this World Cup.

Robinho has been shipped back to Brazil....Kaka has been shocking for Real....L.Fabaiano was benched by Sevilla for last part of season. G.Silva is playing in Greece and Felipe Melo has more red cards in the bank than cash.

EDIT:

Just heard that Dunga has resigned already. Just what Capello should have done.

So true, and Melo has been a flop at Juventus, like Kaka at Madrid. And let's not get started on the Brazil bench....rags-Kleberson, Julio Baptista, Spuds-Gilberto, 31-year old Cacau from Stuttgart...

???

Cacau is on Germanys bench.

Well done Holland, had by far the better game.

To be fair Brazil have not been that special at this world cup, they were beaten by a far better disciplined and ordered side.

Holland have hardly been mentioned in this tournament by the pundits, they have some great players and a good manager I quite fancy them to go to the final

Sorry, meant 31-year old Grafite from Wolfsburg of course, don't know what I was thinking there. Who was joined by Josue from the same team. Hardly world-beaters.

Sad day for football. The equivalent of Stoke beating Barcelona

Are you one of the people who get depressed when the Sky 4 get crushed?

The Sky Four is no more. Good riddance.

Brazil didn't play attacking football this year.
Be sure Dunga will be massacrated now for the players he left at home and for the lack of plan B.
4 defenders + 3 defensive midfielders is suicidal. With the goalkeeper there are 8 defensive players.

Not great.

Dani Alves wasn't playing as a defensive midfielder. Holland played with the same number of defensive players as both formations are pretty similar 4231 set ups, but with Brazil utilising the full backs a lot more.
