I hear you on that. Nonetheless, the onus is on coaches. Some allow for the freedom of players to do such if it guarantees a goal more times than not but it is what it is.

I like to hit it as hard and low as possible.

Every player at this level should be able to do it.

I can honestly say I very rarely look at the ball at all when playing 5/6/7/8 a side.

My brain / feet just “know” where it is.

I’d therefore be surprised if WC level players ever really need to look at the ball?
