Breaking Bad

I'm struggling with Dexter. If your enjoying that then you wait till you watch BB, it's so clever
I don't know Dexter was completely different, slightly corny in it's humor(it worked though) but I loved his character and I loved the way it made you look from a different angle than you normally would. Questions like how the fuck is he going to get away with it this time? How is he going get to get the better of this next target? and so on. Yeah the last series was not up to the previous ones and alot hated the ending but it was still good watching.

With The Wire I think what made it was the many unique and fully fleshed out characters if you didn't appreciate or pick up on that aspect then you might wonder what the fuss was about. Better to watch it without thinking about the hype and let yourself become immersed in it, it is apparently very accurate/true to life as to how things actually are in those parts and I think that's why alot of people loved it, it seems so real and believable once you're hooked in. One of the female gangsters was actually an ex gang member and ended up going back to that life after it was done, that's pretty authentic method acting for you there.

Not as good as Rich Man Poor man from the 70's. Falconetti was a bad mother! (he's a man and he was bad, not a woman leaving her kids alone etc..) ;-)

Better call Saul has the potential to be better than breaking bad, loved the first season. It pisses me off when they take a year to release the following season, I'll have to watch the first season again once I know when the second is getting released.

I got used to Jimmy being the main man and I probably didn't like him being sidelined, which happened pretty early iirc. It's been a while since I watched it tbh. I got them all on DVD and watched them in one sitting and I've not watched them since. I might revisit it at some point.

It was series 4 that Jimmy was sidelined and only had a small part in the show, the actor had other commitments, he came back for series 5. I think I actually appreciated it more the second time I watched it. I dont rewatch much, The Wire, Breaking Bad and Luther i've watched 3 times and are probably my favourite 3 shows.

Agree that better call Saul has potential as well. Vince Gilligan has also hinted at a Gus Fring spin off as well, but not until he's finished with BCS.
