I remember alot of fuss around "Oz" too and thats going way back which was good but I remember it being slightly depressing overall. I must admit someone else insisting a marathon on a show you're not sure about can kind of spoil the shine of a show too.

Greatest ever series ?

I think it's the best I've seen, yeah. It's the one I always compare other series to. "Yeah, it's good, but it's no Breaking Bad." I think Game of Thrones is the only one that might be as good.

I tend to go by how good a season is rather than the overall show. Like season 1 of Prison Break, Season 4 of Dexter, Season 4 of Lost, Season 1 of Heroes etc.

It was series 4 that Jimmy was sidelined and only had a small part in the show, the actor had other commitments, he came back for series 5. I think I actually appreciated it more the second time I watched it. I dont rewatch much, The Wire, Breaking Bad and Luther i've watched 3 times and are probably my favourite 3 shows.

Agree that better call Saul has potential as well. Vince Gilligan has also hinted at a Gus Fring spin off as well, but not until he's finished with BCS.

I thought it started slow but like all good series it's getting to know the characters, it really gets going for me when Gus comes into it (series two if I remember correctly)

Great show and in my top five along with, The Wire, Sopranos, GOT & Luther.
