Breaking records/stats thread

Sky are bastards of that there is no doubt, however 12 March is my birthday so that would be the best present ever.
Quite a few March birthdays on here, it seems—mine is the 7th and the missus has apparently planned a great day out, finishing with the Basel home match (including some mystery club hospitality before and after).

She’s actually from Basel, but I’ve converted to a blue over the years, so it should be a very interesting experience watching her cope with the internal conflict while I sing and shout beside her. ;-)

Happy early birthday to you and @bellsouth!
Possible but unlikely.
City have to win all 5 matches up to and including Stoke while at the same time:

rags lose 3 of their 5 games
Chelsea and Liverpool each lose 2 of their 5
Spurs lose 1 and draw 1 of their 5.

I've assumed that our goal difference is unassailable.

I do agree that Sky are bastards as my intended trip to Stoke may also be scuppered by the fixture change.
Those were my calculations, as well—with how all below us are struggling with consistency it’s not outside the realm of possibility, however improbable.

But, for your and my sake, let’s hope we win it a few games later so we don’t have to always remember we just missed being there for it (it’s especially bad for me as now the match takes place while I am in the air, meaning this will be only the third or fourth match I will have not watched either in person or on tele for more than a decade).

Another 56 goals in all competitions would see us become the highest scoring side in English football history beating our own record set in 2014. I am sure it will be ignored by the media again.

Goal difference record is 72. Not checked but think we on 57?

Most wins in a prem season is 30 - we need 7 more to equal.

Most points in a prem season by us 89. We need 17 more.
