SHEFFIELD United are understood to have made an offer, believed to be in the region of £1.5m, for Manchester City striker Ched Evans.
As The Star reported earlier this year, United manager Kevin Blackwell was interested in signing the Wales international during the January transfer window

He's not really an academy player(not classed as one under UEFA rule), we signed him from Chester.
