It's always a shame to see academy products (if indeed we can agree that he was) move on, but Ched will be a good Championship player. he gave us his best efforts but he is not top 6 of the Prem material. It will also be a good move for him as he probably wouldn't get too many games next season.

It was clear the likes of Stevie Ireland had lots of potential but I just can't see a lot of improvement in Ched.
This.
Half the reason Ireland got the stick he did was because we had all seen that he had ability and many thought he was just being lazy. Ched on the other hand has very little ability and no amount of sending him on loan will make him Premier League standard. He is not good enough simple as that so take the £1.5 million and wish him all the best!

I am not sure if I would sell him, but I would definitely loan him out. He is crying for the experience of first team football.
He is still young and gives 100% when he is on the pitch.

Agreed and whilst effort is a trait to be admired, he has next to nothing else to offer (apart from he takes a good penalty), our squad is full of strikers who are not up to it, why keep another one on the books to run his contract down and leave for nothing. He is young, but so once was Rooney who at his age sold for what £30m, and so were many before him, all displayed sheer raw talent on top of effort, Ched simply put, doesnt.
