Brendan Rodgers - How good is he?

Good manager but not an elite manager that we should be linked with .
Who are these “elite” managers of which you speak?

There are about 5 or 6 “world class” managers who have made a name for themselves with a big club.

Who are they and what makes you think they can satisfy the not inconsiderable needs of Khaldoon, Ferran and Txiki, not to mention Mansour himself, and transpose domination in their overseas League onto City in the PL?

I’d say pep klopp simeone allegri and maybe conte in my eyes . Rogers is a good manager but he hasn’t really won anything Over than in Scotland .

Simeone, Conte, Allegri all play defensive football so City board will never hire them.

It will be possession based coach to continue the "Barca model". Its only logical, otherwise the work of the last 13 years would go down the drain if City hired defensive coach.

He's done a brilliant job at Leicester, and seems like quite a likeable bloke. Not sure he'd be suitable for City but he's obviously a very competent manager.
Good coach but a likeable bloke? Nah. Comes across as a narcissistic knobhead.

Don't forget as soon as he became Liverpool manager he binned of his wife and made her get a divorce after HE was shagging around, the rumours of he having a painting commissioned of himself and who can forget those teeth? Not forget he fueled the media flames about Sterling as well. Comes across as a proper David Brent character

Always liked his Swansea city side. They were a good footballing team, even then I thought he was one too watch. Then Victim city came and he bought right into their psyche. A Cocky, arrogant bully. Akin too little man syndrome with his gobby hillbillie brothers in the background giving it the bigun. The treatment of Sterling was atrocious. The bullying he received for daring too further his career was atrocious. It all came from Rodgers.

Given as a club we seem to be following a bit of a Barcelona blueprint in terms of engraining a style of play throughout the academy and club, I would expect next manager to be someone already within the club.
Arteta May have been that man, but there is little chance of him returning to city unless goes pear shaped at Arsenal, would we want him then.
I think Pep/board need to identify a number 2 that may then take on the reigns when Pep goes. Has played for Pep and follows his philosophy.
It’s easy to pick a number 2 and hopefully a future manager as a fan but the reality may be different, lampard and Chelsea for instance.

Personally I think Fernandinho would be a good pick.
