Please let it be this.

Hate playing these, we always struggle against them for some reason. Can see next Monday being no different, with the odd goal settling it, 2-1 City.

Ederson, Walker, Dias, Stones, Ake, Rodri, Kovacic, Bernardo, Grealish, Foden, Haaland

They’ve lost six of their last seven league games, so aren’t in great form. Can’t read too much into our defeat there last season either, as we played a weakened side and minds were obviously elsewhere. Think we’ll have too much for them with a fully fit squad on Monday.

Ederson
Walker
Dias
Stones
Ake
Rodri
Kovacic
De Bruyne
Bernardo
Foden
Alvarez

Watched a bit of highlights Brentford are a dirty cheating Wimbledon of old team! They play the game to whined up the opposing team they time waste to the extreme!

It's going to be a battle Monday night

We have seen the best of Foden centrally this season. How can we get him in there with Kevin back. Kev has to play and he would be wasted in a deeper role. Its a problem for Pep to solve.

we are still 10 points worse off fixture to fixture compared to last season, but we lost this fixture (both home and away one vs Brentford), so this is a great chance to improve and bring it down to 7 points difference.

with Pool's form and Klopp's leaving making them raising their game even more we cannot afford 6-7 or more points worse than last seasons 89 points.
85 or 86 or 87 might be needed.

we actually won all remaining fixtures last season except of Pool away, Spurs away, Brentford home-away, Forest away, Brighton away. Now we need to win all of those others we won last season but also do some decent points in above fixtures too especially Anfield, we cannot go there and lose.

given we've won 10 and drawn 1 without Haaland (i'm counting last night in that stat), it must produce a real conundrum for the boss. I think Haaland isn't quite ready for a start, another 30 min showing I reckon.

Brentford will play on the break and will be very physical with this in mind I think pep will pick this team.
