Easier to accept if you just recognise that it's a bit of an off season this year.

A chance to work on a few things, sort the recruitment out, realise which players have had it and maybe win a cup.

There were things to like tonight. Savinho looking like he's going to become a player, Kev back to his best, Foden finding some form in front of goal. Sign 5 or 6 players across January and the summer and come strong again next season.

Obviously good that we look potent going forwards today but why do we allow cross after cross to come in unchallenged especially today on our left.

Savin great in parts but offered no protection and sometimes too greedy.

Gundo was awful for their first….no real attempt to close down again….just going through the motions.

Akanji needs a rocket….believing his own hype (leave the modelling alone and get back to the basics)

Foden finished well but all round I thought he was poor.

Thank good for Ake today and also thought De Bruyne and Nunes did well.

Maybe Pep might realise that Gundogen really isn't the fucking answer. And unfortunately Akanjis becoming a liability. MacAtee to win it, 10 seconds later it's in the back of our net. I have no fucking words. Haaland really needs to pull his fuckin finger out too. That header straight at the fuckin keeper. I thought Kev was very good and looked like his old self for a good part of the game, but last 20 mins he was done..so Pep keeps him on along with grandad Gundog and suddenly they get a foothold. That defence is fucking shite. Ake, Akanji and Gvardiol can’t win a fucking header between them. What defender worth his salt, can’t consistently win headers and against forwards who most weeks are fucking smaller than them? Theres only Dias who is any fucking good and he’s never fit.

The midfield is mid-table at best. I will forgive Kova somewhat because he was only ever meant to be a squad player. Bernie needs fucking off completely. He offers nothing in defence or attack and he can’t run. Be better off playing someone who can move in there, even if on the face of it, he has half the technical ability of Bernie (of 2 seasons ago).

Pep needs to look at himself too. The midfield is absolute turd and can’t move and his response is to bring Gundo on?
