Foden talks about us getting tired. Pep keeps running the same old, leggy guys out there.

More pressure during the game all around because the margin for error is so much smaller.

Could it be as simple as us just wearing down?

Our form since November has been utterly horrendous. Relegation form.

We were looking at winning 4 in a row, despite being poor against West Ham and Leicester. You could make a case that our season was turning around but we’ve reverted back to this seasons type.

Three games (Feyernoord, United, Brentford) we’ve witnessed at utter late collapse. We’re talking about conceding multiple late goals to throw points away. We should have lost against Everton when they had a 4 on 2 break in the 94th minute.

Its great signing these young defenders and an attacker but we NEED midfield. And honestly, more than one.

Need to get back to basics defending.

Remember when Bobby first came here.
He was all about defending first season.
Once the players learn that he let the reigns off and let the players play more open.

We can't defend.

I trust Pep 1000% but sometimes I think not having proper fullbacks or a left-back at the club does puzzle me,
Pep is 100% with his system and will never change and will defend it to the hilt.

Sometimes I wish we had a plan B and became ugly and dirty and defended in the type of Terry Butcher or Tony Adams No nonsense stuff

In fairness to our defence our two best defenders when fully fit namely Dias and Stones as a pair have been missing for most of the season. In addition they have had little or no assistance from midfield since the loss of Rodri.

I think some people think it's just a switch we can flick back on, we still need a few signings and the confidence to close games out, but make no mistake Brentford are a good side, we have to build and build our way back but after tonight I think we will get a top four finish.

That was always going to be a challenge, they have runners in that team and we have an allergy to that this season. I thought we looked a lot lot better going forward, we were moving into the space far quicker than recent weeks and I thought we’d won it at 2.0.

Issue we have is that confidence is paper thin and teams know if they knick one, they very likely will get more chances.

I’ve seen people here saying we should have kept the ball and others saying we should attack at 2.1 up. Think that about sums it up, the players seem to have the same issues, not on the same page.

All in all i thought It was entertaining and a few weeks ago we likely would have walked out of there with a pasting so there is progress.

Midfield needs addressing and I’m starting to think the keeper does as well. Ortega a great shot stopper and Eddie is Eddie, but I’m not sure either are inspiring confidence in the defenders.

Are people on here really complaining about the ref not adding more time? Did you not see the game? We should be thankful the ref saved us from another defeat.

Another poor performance, just as every other one for months against teams on a higher level than League 2. Just didn't get lucky this time like against Leicester and West Ham.

Hopefully Txiki will soon stop "working" on deals and start to actually get things done instead. The window is open 3 more weeks but we needed signings yesterday (or preferably 6 months ago), not in the end of January.

He was a wanker letting them take their throw half way up the pitch then moments later pushed ours back when we needed a goal!
