You gotta laugh at this "No Rodri we fall off a cliff narrative" this season, from mostly Blues. I seem to remember after his last performance the same people were saying "way off the pace"..."not the same player"..."brought him back too soon". Today, its like we lost prime 2023 Rodri, which he isnt. Make your fucking minds up people.

Thought Nico was decent today, a more than adequate replacement, who is in a no win situation simply because he's not Rodri. Give him respect, a run of games, and he'll prove a lot of the haters wrong.

We have the best goalie in the world. I like that.

Great 3 points today. Very good 1st half and a poor 2nd half. As poor as we were in that 2nd half, I never felt we were under much pressure - especially with The Don in control at the back.

Wieird: if we'd held on for all 3 points at Arsenal last week, we'd be top of the league today.

The top teams will be very worried to see us only 3 points from the top.

If you continually repeat yourself it doesn't make your point more bona fide. Sure, we get it, you think differently than some of the other posters on here. You don't need to reinforce the same position to every poster that happens to disagree. Post count isn't really that important ;-)

We missed that too and only saw it a bit later as a re run. Couldn't believe it actually after being so much in control first half.
 
Good result, that. However, that second half was shit and all too common a performance. We got away with it today and may continue to but better sides would punish our sloppiness.

Not sure what Pep said to them at half time but the first and second half performances were completely chalk and cheese which is baffling and has happened a couple of times.

Glass half full in me, though, says the first half performances are a sign of what we will get to when we get comfortable in our own skin again and more consistent with what we’re doing.

Maybe this kind of performance will be our new 'normal' now that Ederson has gone. Maybe that's a big part of why we struggled to keep the ball.

2nd half it felt like most of Donnarumma's kicks were to the sidelines and either straight out, or resulted in a fight for the ball.

Maybe the extra saves we get do balance things out, but games may seem more of a battle. Just as well we've got so many big guys in the team though, so that should help.

I think it’ll also take him a while to learn how to play as well. He’s only been here a few weeks. If we can get Rodri sorted, Reijndeers up to speed then we’ll see a lot more control imo
 
Two late equalisers away from 7 straight wins. We’re not at our absolute best but I don’t want city to Peak in early October. The good signs continue to show. Things to work on but I honestly believe when we have more attacking options to pick from we will kill games off earlier. Onwards to Everton
 
We're not as good as we were - nobody would argue with that.
We might not be as bad we think we are either, though.

Brentford are handy. They don't often lose at home and still less often do they fail to score at home. Yet, against us...
I think, maybe we need to be kinder to ourselves. Sure, we're not as good as we were but, then again, nobody was ever that good before. Probably nobody will be again for another generation or so.
We have a chance of winning the league this year - maybe not with the pomp or
ruthlessness of recent years - but it's a chance.
That hasn't always the case. Yeah, we have our problems but we shouldn't forget to enjoy it.
