Glad we held out but we were poor all second half. Not for the first time this season either, weird conundrum for pep to sort

Same here, the way this team played against Arsenal gave me signals that things are not actually that good. Pep would walk the league with current Arsenal team or id say even with Liverpool.
 
Great first half, poor second but we just been tired, Brentford less for obvious reasons.

Brentford home - just very strong. Aston Villa lost, Man Utd lost, Chelsea draw, anybody else yet to come. Possible points lost even for Arsenal and LFC.

SUBSTITUTIONS. Please match thread usuals read it carefully. We been knackered and everybody and Pep seen this. The point is to build finally the best possible fitness for players. Thats why they need to fight 90 min.

So crucial 3 pts. Hate international breaks but now its for the best. We need players back. If Rodris injury is anything long term, we need best out of Nico and Kovacic back.

It was Darren England, Arsenal/Dipper loving. Always dodgy when he refs us, today no different.
 
Absolute dogshit performance 2nd half after a very decent first half. Worked for us today but we won't win enough football games over the season playing like that, have to change this cautious approach when we get ahead and try and get ourselves out of sight.

They are crap, beating united last week doesn't disguise that, that should have been a lot more comfortable. Take the valuable 3 points, move on and hope we don't make the second half a regular occurrence.
 
Can't keep hiding behind lack of pre-season for our dire second half fitness and performances. It has got to improve and fast.

Decision might be out of our hands now but I hope we're not going to keep trying to drag Rodri back when he's not ready under the guise of still being completely fucked without him. We'll end up shaving years off his career and we still won't get back to where we were because the poor bloke will never be fit.

You just stupid man, nothing really wrong with that. We been great 1 half, created enough to score 2/4.

Brentford at home won against everbyody, draw with Chelsea. Its a very tough ground.

We still building fitness. Hope I helped.
 
3 pts the most important thing.

Good first half - Reijnders had a good a game since his debut and we controlled the ball like we did a few seasons back. Foden was excellent and Haaland doing what he does better than anyone. Bobb also showed some great moments.

Second half awful. We can look at how we are after Rodri goes off but its not just on that IMHO....its the reaction and attitude of the players who are on the pitch epitomised by Nunes, Savihno and even Donarumma near the end.....slack, lazy, sloppy, arrogant and simply not putting the effort in.....Gvardiol as well in the second half fits into that bracket.

We got the win but it wouldnt have surprised anyone if Brentford had snatched a draw or even gone on to win it with that extremely poor second half performance from us.

We need to up our game big time....
 
It reminded me of the run-in last season, winning, but pushing our luck to the extreme.
Don't think that'll cut it over 31 more matches, somehow
