I like O'Reilly. Big lump of a lad as well. I wonder how he'd fare if Rodri took him under his wing at training to maybe play a bit in the middle.

Newcastle and Forest are nowhere near last seasons level currently, for various reasons.
Them lot away mmehhhh.
I'd fully expect them to have picked up full points in those 3.
Liverpool - Arsenal shat the bed and went full out to shut up shop.
I doubt we'll finish above them unless injuries improve, but they seem likely to choke again this season as they still have a mentality issue for me (they got away with the result against us)
 
I think cherki will bring another level to Haaland. Phils much more a second striker than a creative player more like Gundo/Lampard he can create but he wants to score more , where as Cherki is a creative machine. Right now we just need to create chances for the big man up top as he's unstoppable.

Not sure that some of our fans genuinely don't watch the ref and just automatically call them cheating cunts. He done well booking that twat for feigning facial contact.
 
Great first half, played like City of old. Got tired in the 2nd. Brentford were fresher and could ran more than us.

Gonzalez is getting better.

We had 12 pts after 7 games back in 20/21 and finished on 86 pts. This season we are on 13 pts after 7 games. If we win 87 pts this season, we have a very good chance to win the title.

Unlike Arsenal we can improve a lot. Think we'll be the best after January.
 
That was a good win...a bit of a scrap...but a good win nonetheless. Other than the chance early in the 2nd half when their lad was through and Donarumma saved, Brentford didn't really create anything. Remember we had 2 midfielders playing in our defence and we stood strong.

Well done City!

I read last season that Pep wanted him in CDM but Nico didn't feel he was ready for it. I think it will come.
