Thought Jack and Jesus were disappointing tonight too, expected more from them.

View from seats was pretty good and it's an improvement on Griffin Park. And I got on Cheesie's blog. Oh yeah, and 3 points as well.

Heard the City fans plenty throughout despite the Brentford fans chants claiming the opposite.

Suppose when you’re a club like Brentford, singing generic songs against rival fans is as much as your support can muster.

There’s so many clubs in the prem now that just sing songs they’ve picked up from someone else in the championship… they’re all shite.

Found that a frustrating watch, 1-0 victories always are until you here the final whistle, the old City was sat there waiting for a defensive cock up or questionable penalty. Only Foden and Ake came out with much credit, KDB with a lovely ball to Foden, everyone else a bit out of sorts, lots of stray passes and slow play, holding onto the ball to long and getting caught. Can't be sublime every game I suppose and we got the three points, asisde from a few mins in the first half we weren't really threatened.

It wasn't a vintage performance tonight, but these games are what make champions. And tonight, we looked like champions.

We're now in a position going into January where we have a good cushion of points, the best GD and our rivals having a wobble. I'd have taken that a month ago. I really do think the 'team' this year is better than at any time we've had. We're able to out-play anyone and we're getting that knack of being able to out-fight them and we had to do that tonight. I thought we had some decent performances tonight, but no one seemed to stand out. Ake did well for me and I always like it when Fernandinho has a battle - great to see. I think Pep had his mind on Arsenal in all honesty and that will be a very interesting game.

Brentford were fired up for it and who can blame them? They were at home against the best team in the world at the minute and they gave us a game. No team like Brentford are ever going to try to out-football us, that would just result in a pasting - ask Leeds what happens when you do that. They worked hard, played some games and made the pitch hard to play on. If I was them, I'd have done the same. I thought Toney looked good though - gave our defenders a test.

Bollocks, I disagree with that. The Amazon commentary with the fantastic Ally McCoist is one of the best around. Knocks ten types of shite out of Sky and BT commentators.

Not once in the game did they mention the financial situation, constantly praised recognised the skill of City on many occasions, called out the dodgy offside lines,

It was only the useless Gabby Yorath who brought it up (trained well be Sky and the Beeb) and you could see DeJong visibly rolling his eyes as she did.
